A map of your home does not belong in our cloud.

HomeProof stores rooms, possessions, values, serial numbers, photos, receipts and notes locally in an encrypted catalog on your Mac.

Encrypted catalog

Catalog data and embedded attachments are sealed using AES-GCM. The local encryption key is stored through macOS Keychain and is not sent to Shipmac.

Files and exports

The app reads only files you explicitly attach. A portable claim packet is created only when you choose an export destination.

No insurance profiling

The first release has no account, analytics SDK, insurer connection, valuation feed or advertising profile.

Website logs

This website may retain standard server request logs for security and reliability, including IP address, browser type and requested path. Personal information is not sold.
